Tis a story very old:
Once upon a time
There lived a girl who never cried in a small town
She was beautiful; poor but always smiling
Many rich men all over the country proposed to her
but all were turned down. She had someone she loved
He was a clown; poor but honest and hard-working
He proposed to her one day
She said yes, and they lived happily together
One day she poked herself with a needle
And she shed a tear; the wife had never cried before
And the wife's tear turned into a diamond
Unbelievable situation
From then on, the clown beat his wife to get diamonds
Wasted and spent those diamonds on useless things
And when he ran out of diamonds, he came back home and beat his wife some more
He scarred her heart
I dance, with a smile, with blood tears on my eyes
The scar I gave you without knowing spreads like this
I'm seeking you with all my might
And a month passed; two months passed; and several years has passed.
One day, like any other days, he came back home to get some more diamonds
He called his wife, drunk
The clown was surprised to see blood red diamonds on her hands
He was just happy to see big, shiny diamonds on his wife's hands
He did not know the meaning of those blood red diamonds;
more red than his own blood, the blood once so passionate.
They were the last gift to the man from the wife
Then she killed herself
The rug on the floor dyed in deep red color;
deeper than the passionate love they once had.
He cried his heart out, but he cannot see her again
The clown had realized his faults, but it was too late She had left.
Ever since then, whenever the clown put makeup on himself
He drew tears and laughed like a madman
He danced to forget his sadness
But he can only laugh as much as the regrets of once passionate past love
(Why, why did I do that then)
(Just why, why did I do that)
I know it's too late to go back
I know it's too late to turn back time
I just live on, reminiscing the memories of her
If she comes back in my dreams
I swear I won't let you go again
The empty house is full of your scent
Your beautiful smile is vague in my memories
We used to fight
We used to hide tears too
We used to stare at each other like fools all night
Why, why did I do that then I was happy, even with nothing, because I had you
Why did I do that, why did I change I kept promising that I won't change
How hard it must've been for you
How much have you suffered, not even telling me I'm going to curse myself;
me who laughed and beat such helpless girl up
Don't ever forgive me
Please, don't cry
